Suzanne and I attended the Loudoun County Athletic Booster Awards Picnic last night, 11 June 2008, at 5:30 pm. There were games for an hour and then we ate hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, and pork bar-b-que with all the fixins. They announced the male and female athletes of the year, and the scholarships for male and female athletes. Suzanne was nominated by her swim coach for the female athlete of the year award and athletic scholarship, but she didn't get the award, or scholarship. Competition was very tough. We are very proud of her accomplishments this year in swimming. She took 6th and 9th in the state in breast stroke and free style respectively.

Congrats to Suzanne! She'll have to give Abigail a few pointers. Reed has been teaching her her how to float and kick, but she's inherited her mommy's fear of going under the water.

Sounds like fun. It's always nice to be acknowledged for the hard work you've put into something...even if she didn't get the award. Good job Suzanne!
