Church

I received a calling last Friday as Branch Clerk and was sustained in Sacrament meeting. Was set apart after the meeting. During the meeeting I was able to bless the sacrament -- something I haven't been asked to do for decades. It was a nice experience. A couple of days later the District President asked me to also be the Assistant District Clerk. So I have two callings in addition to being a Home Teacher -- I have 3 families. I am also speaking in Sacrament Meeting next Friday. By the way our meetings are on Friday. Most everyone takes that day off so it is easier to come to church that way. We have an hour Priesthood/RS meeting then an hour Sacrament Meeting. All done in 2 hours. There are 5 branches and 27 servicemen groups in Afghanistan. As the Assistant District Clerk I get to try to keep track of every member that comes into Afghanistan, including the Kabul Military Branch that I am the clerk for. There are about 450 members of the church in Afghanistan. We should have around 500 by next month.
