I plan on going furniture shopping for some things for my apartment this afternoon -- however, my plans may change because of the IED incident at Camp Jullien (South of Kabul).
My driver picked me up today a little late as they were stopped coming to pick me up by the ANP looking for explosives in the car. Guess I have to be a little flexible on being timely. My guard at the Villa wouldn't let me go out on the street until my ride arrived.
Had a good Family Home Evening last night -- had the Sacrament for those that missed it on Friday and then watched the talk by Boyd K. Packer from General Conference. Then we played cards. What a variety of activities. Then I walked home from the base.
The 144th MED Unit from the Utah National Guard are here at Eggers now. Increased our numbers dramatically -- we have over 70 members in the branch now.
It has been raining here every afternoon this week. Should stop tomorrow ad warm up to the upper 80s. Has been in the 70s for quite a while.
