Earthquake Hits Afghanistan

The United States Geological Survey says a 5.8-magnitude earthquake has hit northeastern Afghanistan, but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
Monday's quake hit Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region, about 69 kilometers southeast of Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province.
The strong earthquake was also felt in Pakistan, including the country's northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the Kashmir region, and the capital, Islamabad.
