Suzanne graduated from Loudoun County High School on 19 June 2008. The graduation was held at 9 am, and it lasted till 11 am. It was a beautiful sunny day -- perfect for a ceremony that was held outside in front of the school. Suzanne finished her Senior year with a 3.82 GPA for the year 2007/8, and a 3.49 for her tenure at LCHS. We are proud of her accomplishments and for doing so well her senior year -- especially with everything that was going on this year.

Loudoun County Athletic Booster Awards Picnic
Suzanne and I attended the Loudoun County Athletic Booster Awards Picnic last night, 11 June 2008, at 5:30 pm. There were games for an hour and then we ate hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, and pork bar-b-que with all the fixins. They announced the male and female athletes of the year, and the scholarships for male and female athletes. Suzanne was nominated by her swim coach for the female athlete of the year award and athletic scholarship, but she didn't get the award, or scholarship. Competition was very tough. We are very proud of her accomplishments this year in swimming. She took 6th and 9th in the state in breast stroke and free style respectively.

Suzanne's Senior Prom
Suzanne's Senior Prom was Saturday, 7 June 2008. She went to a family in the neighborhood's home for pictures and dinnner. Then they went to the Dulles Marriott for the dance. Suzanne then stayed with one of her girlfriends over night. She arrived back home at 9:30 am with only 30 minutes of sleep. Needless to say she had trouble staying awake in church.
Suzanne Gets Scholarship for College
Gayla and I attended the Awards Ceremony at Loudoun County High School on 5 June 2008, at 9 am. The ceremony lasted for 3 hours. Suzanne's scholarship was the first announced. She received a $500 scholarship from the Brian Walsh Memorial Scholarship fund. We are very proud of her accomplishments her Senior year.
Suzanne Graduates From Seminary
On Sunday, 8 June 2008, Suzanne graduated from Seminary. We attended with her and shared refreshments with long lost friends from all over the Stake. Several people had to do a double take because they didn't recognize me with totally white hair. Now that I have retired I have decided to go all natural as far as my hair color goes.
