I lost my job with LSI/CALIBRE and will now be working for ARMA Corp in Afghanistan. I will be working for the same organization I worked for at Camp Eggers in Kabul (CJ-8). I will be their Budget/Finance mentor. I will be working for the Ministry of Defense (MOD) training the Afghan Military (Army) how to Budget and Finance (pay) their people. Will be retruning to Kabul, Afghanistan shortly. I am enjoying my well desrved break from the grind of working 6 days a week 12 hours a day.
The other day when I got home from work I was going to turn on the propane heater to warm the bathroom up a bit. I noticed the pilot light was out so I tried to start it but to no avail. So I looked behind the heater at the propane tank and someone had disconnected the line form the tank so I attached it to the tank and turned the heater around and started the pilot light and then turned the heater on, As I walked out of the bathroom I heard a swoosh! I turned around and flames were shooting up the wall behind the heater. I quickly turned the heater off and pulled the heater away from the wall as the flames were right below the bath towels. I started blowing on the flames trying to blow them out. Luckily I was able to get them out and removed the tank from the hose. Evidently I hadn't made a good connection between the tank and the hose. Needless to say I was lucky.
